WARNING!!!

Life is full of unexpected things.

Story: so I am refinancining my car and getting some things fixed. I feel ahead of the game here with everything being taken care of then suddenly I get this flashing of lights behind me. My head light is out and my back license plate light is out. Feeeew . .  that was a scary moment.

So now you are wondering why I am telling this story and I guess because I want to share my experience with relating this to the gospel. I read a talk by Elder Hales yesterday and he talked about coming unto ourselves. The key points are to partake of the sacrament to renew and make covenants with God, be worthy to go to the temple and attend, and sacrifice our time to serve others. Just like the prodigal son we may wander away at times and by following the key points we can come back and stay on the path that leads to our Father in Heaven. Even when we are feeling like we are doing well we have the Holy Ghost to guide us and give us a warning so we do not stray away from His presence. This experience was a light bulb moment for me. I am so thankful for the grace of God in my life and His helping hand in all I do.

Key point from this story: When you are on the straight and narrow keep looking forward and never lose focus even just a little. Stay in the middle of the safe path and not along the fence where the temptation is strongest. Let the Savior guide you!
